Comprehensive eye exams at Hobe Sound Eye Care are essential to maintaining good eye health and clear vision. These eye exams are critical for detecting and treating eye diseases such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Age-Related Macular Degeneration, Cataracts, Dry Eyes, Blepharitis, and many other conditions.
Our exams at Hobe Sound Eye Care look at the COMPLETE health of the eye, not just a glasses or contact lens prescription.

MYOPIA MANAGEMENT
Myopia, also known as nearsightedness, is a common vision condition where distant objects appear blurry. Myopia can be passed down in families by genetics, and it can become detrimental to future ocular health by increasing the risks of retinal detachment, cataracts, glaucoma, and myopic maculopathy.
At Hobe Sound Eye Care, we offer myopia management through the MiSight program, which utilizes soft, daily-wear, specialty-designed contact lenses focused on slowing the progression of myopia in children.

EMERGENCY EYE CARE
At Hobe Sound Eye Care, we also provide ocular ER assistance, because we know unexpected things happen!
Call our office right away if you need our assistance for any of the following:
- sudden vision loss
- trauma or foreign bodies
- eye pain
- flashes of light/floaters
- double vision
- red eye(s)
- swollen lid
- stuck contact lens
INSURANCE
Medical insurance and vision plan coverage are not the same.
Medical insurance helps assist patients when unexpected eye injuries or disease occur.
Vision plans, on the other hand, are a wellness benefit designed to provide routine eye exams, contact lens evaluations, prescription eyewear, and other vision-related services at a reduced cost.
At Hobe Sound Eye Care, we provide medical, routine eye exams, and contact lens evaluations. Depending on your individual needs, we accept many insurance plans to help cover the cost.
CONTACT LENSES
Contact lenses evaluations are comprehensive examinations that ensure contact lenses fit comfortably, correct vision, and maintain eye health. This process is crucial for both individuals considering contact lens use and those already wearing them.
During a contact lenses evaluation, your eye doctor will perform special tests to determine if contact lenses are suitable for you. This includes evaluating the health of your cornea and the shape of your eye, and taking measurements of your iris, pupil, and tear film. After the evaluation, your doctor will fit you with contact lenses to ensure they fit correctly and comfortably.
FRAMES
At Hobe Sound Eye Care, we offer a variety of frames to suit each person’s personality and style. If you do not find a frame in your color or style, we can work with you in finding something that suits your needs.
